Project sketch for "The hanging gardens of Andermatt" (Switzerland), Orasom Hotels & Development PDF Print E-mail
Contributed by Christian Hosmann

2.3. Sketch of the building plot

Image The hotel (below) with parkings, baths, halls and conference rooms is completely built in the rock. It measures a width of 100m, a length of 300m and a height of 70m. The apartments and community areas in the mountain flank are distributed on 12 levels. The habitable surface in the mountain flank (pink) amounts to approx. 70'000m2, in addition to cliff surfaces (green) of approx. 8'000m2. The large hall's enclosure approx. to 15'000m2 in the center is multi-functionally usable. We proceed from a maximum capacity of 1'400 guests. Each suite, each apartment has its own, planted terrace. The entire building has a fully access for handicaped guests, is heated and electrified with geothermical and solar energy and considered completely with glass-front.

An eyecatcher is the natural waterfall into the pool. Two large-scale catering establishments guarantees an excellent boarding. On the whole area you never will hear any engine noise. The parcings are in a separate building underneath the hall with separate access road through a tunnel. The goods dispatching of all suppliers takes also place in this underground. Guests have the possibility to use small electrical mobiles during their stay.
