Every idea has its history, same to "Volcania".
10 years ago, i spent my holidays on the Acores, nine little islands which belong to Portugal. I was very amused about the people, the landscape, the allways changing weather and last but not least - the beauty of the volcanos there.

After coming back from my trip, one night I turned the TV on and watched the James Bond movie "You only live twice". At the end of the movie you could see a hollow volcano, used for a hidden rocket launch. There where also laboratories and apartments inside this volcano.

On my second trip to the Acores Islands i carried this movie in my mind and - combined with my passion for organic architecture - the idea started to grow. I spoke with several people around me, also with a volcanoligist. First he found that i'm just crazy, but today...he changed his mind. (c.h.)
